Dress Code

Dress code will be STRICTLY enforced
beginning September 3rd!

– All dancers MUST have their appropriate
class leotard and skirt color.
– All hair MUST be in a proper bun for youth classes.
(see how-to videos below)

We now have a BOUTIQUE in the GSD studio!
Drop in for any items you may need for class!

YOUTH CLASS DRESS CODE
Ballet
Creative Movement    Any color leotard
Pre-Ballet                  Pink dress
Beginning                  Light blue dress
Intermediate 1 & 2     Burgundy leotard
Pre-Pointe                 Teal leotard
Pointe                       Teal leotard
Advanced                  Eggplant/Aubergine leotard
Company                  Any color leotard (black leotard also
                                needed for showings)

*All girls must have PINK ballet tights & ballet slippers.
*Boys wear WHITE or BLACK t-shirt, BLACK tights & BLACK ballet shoes.
*Girls MUST wear all hair up in a bun. Click on these instructional videos:

#1-high bun with thick hair
#2-low bun with thinner hair
#3-high bun with curly hair

*Intermediate, Pre-Pointe, Pointe, Advanced & Company levels may wear ballet skirts that MATCH their leotard color.
*Girls may wear a ballet sweater and/or legging warmers matching their leotard during winter months ONLY.

 

Jazz/Contemporary 1, 2 & 3
Regular class leotard, black jazz pants and nude jazz shoes. Hair must be pulled back in a ponytail or bun.

Hip Hop:
BLACK jazz pants, t-shirt and sneakers. Hair must be pulled back in a ponytail or bun.

ADULT CLASS DRESS CODE
Ballet
Anything comfortable to the dancer. Leotard, tights and ballet shoes are encouraged but not required.

Tap
Anything comfortable to the dancer. Tap shoes required.
