Jim Stein

Jim Stein, originally from Plainfield, Illinois, had a twenty-year professional dance career. He trained in the Chicago area and studied during the summers in Milwaukee, Houston and Boston Ballet schools. After spending his senior year of high school training with the Boston Ballet II, he attended Butler University where he received his B.A.
Jim was a principal dancer with Ballet Austin and the Atlanta Ballet. He has enjoyed performing on stages nationally in New York at the Joyce Theater and the Kennedy Center in D.C., as well as performing abroad in Canada, Greece, Italy, Slovenia, and Japan. Mr. Stein has danced numerous principal roles in both classical and contemporary ballets by such choreographers as Balanchine, Tharp, Bejart, Mills, Nebrada, Feld, Caniparoli, Pink, McFall, Parsons, York, Weber, Sappington, Rhoden, Welch, and Stevenson.
When he is not teaching Pilates, Jim enjoys spending time with beautiful wife and three children.
